Thursday, June 12th, 1986: Bad News for Washington, Rod Carew Injured
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Rod Carew after injuring himself in a game against Milwaukee. The Washington manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 2 weeks with a hyperextended knee." The Senators will have to decide over the next day or two whether the second baseman will go on the disabled list.

In the 1986 season Carew has hit .275 with 7 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 46 runs.
