 | Tuesday, July 1st, 1986: AL's Premier Batter Picked June was an outstanding month for Detroit center fielder Lloyd Moseby and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the American League Batter of the Month award. Moseby compiled a .372 batting average and .451 on-base percentage for the month. In 23 games he piled up 35 hits, 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and 26 runs scored. So far this season, Moseby has recorded a .325 batting average with 89 hits, 16 home runs, 52 RBIs, 54 runs scored and a .406 OBP. |
