 | Wednesday, July 16th, 1986: Boston and Atlanta Agree to Swap The Boston Red Sox have finalized a deal with the Atlanta Braves for the services of 31-year old left fielder Lee Mazzilli. In exchange, the Braves will receive 33-year old designated hitter Dave Collins. So far this year Collins has 2 home runs and a .292 batting average. Mazzilli is batting .311 this year with 8 home runs, 49 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 107 hits in 344 at-bats. |
