The fans witnessed Larry Parrish power his way into the record book with three home runs and propel the Boston Red Sox to a 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins.
He spoke with reporters after his historic day and told them, "I've always loved hitting in Fenway Park II. You can see the ball so well."
For the day he collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs.
L. Parrish hit a solo-shot off D. Buice in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off C. Ward in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off B. Gideon in the 10th.
