Major League Baseball News Article | | | Monday, July 28th, 1986: Tigers Habyan to Miss 2 Weeks The Detroit Tigers will have to make do without John Habyan for 2 weeks. He suffered a damaged meniscus while throwing a pitch in the game today against the California Angels. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the reliever. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Habyan will miss 2 weeks.
This year Habyan is 1-and-1 with 4 saves and a 2.27 ERA. He has given up 30 hits in 35.2 innings with 20 strikeouts. | |
