 | Tuesday, July 29th, 1986: Toronto Third Baseman Injured Watching Randy Asadoor getting helped off the field today at Toronto Skydome, fans of the Toronto Blue Jays feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the third baseman will miss 1-2 weeks with a strained achilles tendon. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Asadoor suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Mariners. So far this season Asadoor is hitting .362 with 12 home runs. |
