 | Friday, August 1st, 1986: Crawford Nabs AL #1 Pitcher Award Steve Crawford had an outstanding July -- so good that the American League presented him with the Pitcher of the Month Award earlier today. "There's no way to know where the Angels would be without Crawford," one fan is quoted as saying. In July Crawford dominated the competition, running up a 6-0 record, a 2.88 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 40.2 innings. Looking at his season stats, Crawford has won 16 and lost 2, collecting 64 strikeouts and 37 walks in 153.1 innings with a 2.47 ERA. |
