Thursday, August 14th, 1986: Berra Bashes 5 Base Hits
Dale Berra was on fire today and sparked his club to a 24-5 victory over the Braves. The Chicago (N) third baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against Atlanta in a fine hitting display.

"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."

D. Berra singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off D. Warthen in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
