 | Monday, September 1st, 1986: AL's #1 Batter Chosen Andre Dawson had quite a month with the bat in August and the Chicago (A) right fielder was crowned American League Batter of the Month for his outstanding efforts. To win the honor, he batted .346 with 37 hits, 8 home runs, 32 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He also drew 10 walks to post a .392 on-base percentage. In this current campaign Dawson is hitting at a .276 clip with 22 home runs and 114 RBIs. |
