Baseball is here again! |  | Monday, September 19th, 1988: SL2 Announces Outstanding Batter Award The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Sub League 2 MVP Award has been named. It was awarded today to Doug Davis from Chesaning for his great year at the plate.
He put up some impressive numbers, including a .360 batting average and a .438 on-base percentage this year while racking up 29 doubles, 1 triple, 17 home runs, 74 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |  | Monday, September 19th, 1988: Ross Jones Chosen SL1's Top Batter Ross Jones, the Berlin shortstop, certainly made an impression on Sub League 1 pitchers this past season. He punished them for 166 hits in 479 at-bats, 32 doubles, 1 triple, 17 home runs, 79 RBIs and scored 101 times.
