Friday, September 15th, 1995: Delgado Clobbers 3 HR Against Indians
Fans seated in the bleacher section at Kauffman Field were taking cover all day long as Carlos Delgado took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Kansas City's 6-3 triumph over the Cleveland Indians, the first baseman's name will soon be added into the record books.

He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing."

For the game he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, batted in 6 and scored 3 runs.

C. Delgado hit a three-run home run off N. Minchey in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off N. Minchey in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off B. Manuel in the 7th.

This year Delgado has batted at a .324 pace with 180 hits, 31 home runs, 108 RBIs and scored 82 times.
Thursday, September 7th, 1995: Boston's Finley Shuts Out Royals
It was a dismal game for the Royals with Chuck Finley on the hill. The Boston starter was in top form and made it a long day for Kansas City with a 1-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 4 hits and piled up 3 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.

In 1995 Finley has fashioned a 22-8 mark, 1.71 ERA and pitched 225.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .211 against him and he has logged 149 strikeouts.
Monday, September 4th, 1995: Hollins of Kansas City Crowned Best Player
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Dave Hollins, the Kansas City third baseman, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the American League Player of the Week honors.

Hollins piled up 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs while hitting .480.

For the year Hollins is batting .289 with 155 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 64 times and driven in 79.
