Thursday, September 21st, 1995: Gwynn Sizzles with 32-Game Batting Streak
Tony Gwynn continues to hit at a blistering pace. For 32 straight games he has had at least one hit. Gwynn did it again today with 2 hits in the Atlanta triumph over Colorado. The Braves defeated the Rockies 11-4 at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.
T. Gwynn doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and flied out in the 7th.

This year Gwynn is hitting .336 with 8 home runs and 73 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .376 clip and scored 102 runs.
Tuesday, September 19th, 1995: Gwynn's Hit Streak Soars to 31 Games
Tony Gwynn, left fielder for the Atlanta Braves, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 2 hits in his club's 4-2 victory today over the Colorado Rockies at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.
T. Gwynn struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off B. Smith in the 8th.

This season Gwynn has 8 home runs and a .335 batting average.
Monday, September 11th, 1995: Potent Bat Pays Off, Giles Player of the Week
Brian Giles has the tools to stick in this league for many years. The 24-year-old left fielder of the Colorado Rockies had a pretty fair bat in the National League over the past seven days and won the Player of the Week honors.

Giles batted .600 with 9 hits in 15 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs.
