Thursday, September 7th, 1995: Boston's Finley Shuts Out Royals
It was a dismal game for the Royals with Chuck Finley on the hill. The Boston starter was in top form and made it a long day for Kansas City with a 1-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 4 hits and piled up 3 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.

In 1995 Finley has fashioned a 22-8 mark, 1.71 ERA and pitched 225.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .211 against him and he has logged 149 strikeouts.
Saturday, September 2nd, 1995: Rockies Deal Oquendo to Red Sox for Gohr
Trade winds have been blowing through Colorado. This time, a deal has materialized between the Rockies and Red Sox. According to sources inside the organization, Colorado will ship 32-year old shortstop Jose Oquendo to Boston for 27-year old minor league closer Greg Gohr.

So far this season Oquendo is hitting .275 with no home runs.

Monday, August 28th, 1995: Finley Brilliant, Blanks Yankees
Today at Fenway Park II Chuck Finley really had his stuff working. The Boston hurler mystified the New York Yankees and shut them out 3-0. Finley allowed a total of 3 hits in the ballgame.
