| Breaking News | | Wednesday, September 27th, 1995: Morris Tops NL in BA, HRs, RBIs -- Triple Crown This season, Hal Morris exhibited a rare combination of hitting both for average and power. Indeed, the Cincinnati Reds star claimed baseball's Triple Crown, leading the National League in batting average, home runs and RBIs.
"I've always taken pride in my ability to hit the ball," Morris said. "But honestly I never thought I'd put up numbers like that."
He led the National League with a .366 BA, 49 home runs and 156 RBIs. The 30-year-old Reds left fielder is the 5th player in Major League Baseball history to do this rare feat. Quite a year for quite a player. | | Monday, September 18th, 1995: Medina Selected Player of the Week There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it.
