Friday, July 1st, 1988: Sub League 1 Announces Best Starter
Bill Wegman has made fans throughout MLB Triple A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 5-0 record. No pitcher in the Sub League 1 threw better in June, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today.

In 5 starts Wegman compiled a 1.99 ERA, putting up a 5-0 record, striking out 17 and tossing 40.2 innings.

In season stats Wegman shows a 10-2 record in 16 games, 114 innings, 55 strikeouts and a 2.53 ERA.

Friday, July 1st, 1988: Sub League 1 Selects June's Best Batter
When Ricky Jordan stepped up to the plate in June, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Sub League 1 Batter of the Month award.

The young San Bernardino first baseman posted a .364 batting average with 3 home runs, 33 RBIs and scored 25 runs. Jordan also worked pitchers for 4 walks to post a .382 on-base percentage.

Jordan currently has a .335 batting average with 120 hits, 13 homers, 91 RBIs, 58 runs scored and a .354 OBP.

Monday, June 20th, 1988: Shipley Takes This Week's Trophy
Craig Shipley is respected by most San Bernardino Razors fans for his no-frills style of play. The 25-year-old shortstop went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Sub League 1 Player of the Week honors.

He compiled a .524 average (11-21) with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

Presently Shipley is batting .352 with 6 home runs and 40 RBIs. He has played in 63 games and scored 33 times.
