Monday, August 28th, 1995: Finley Brilliant, Blanks Yankees
Today at Fenway Park II Chuck Finley really had his stuff working. The Boston hurler mystified the New York Yankees and shut them out 3-0. Finley allowed a total of 3 hits in the ballgame.

In 30 starts this season Finley has registered a 21-7 record and a 1.84 ERA.
Tuesday, August 1st, 1995: AL Selects Rookie Star of the Month
Troy O'Leary was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 25-year-old right fielder definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen July's American League Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting.

In 28 games O'Leary batted .371 for New York, slapping 33 hits in 89 at-bats with 4 home runs, drove in 18 runs and scored 19 times.

This season O'Leary has hit at a .332 clip with 64 RBIs, 15 home runs and 66 runs scored.
Monday, July 31st, 1995: Bad News for New York, Williams Injured
New York fans will be disappointed to learn that Bernie Williams developed a herniated disc while making a defensive play in today's game. After the doctor informed the New York Yankees manager that Williams was expected to miss 6-7 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the center fielder could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.

During the current season Williams is batting at a .354 clip with 19 home runs and 72 RBIs. He has played in 108 games and scored 74 times.
