| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 23rd, 1988: Chicago (A)'s Richards Gets 2000th Hit
Cleveland beat Chicago (A) 7-6 yesterday at Comiskey Park, but it still was a good game for White Sox left fielder Gene Richards, who went 3-for-5 and reached the 2000-hit mark.
Richards has a lifetime average of .313, played in 1618 games and collected 50 home runs and 627 RBIs.

There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Darren Daulton, the Chicago (A) catcher, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the American League Player of the Week honors.
Daulton piled up 12 hits in 19 at-bats, 2 home runs and 4 RBIs while hitting .632.
Daulton is presently hitting at a .294 pace with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 16 times.

Keith Miller was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 24-year-old second baseman definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen April's American League Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting.
In 25 games Miller batted .317 for Chicago (A), slapping 32 hits in 101 at-bats with 2 home runs, drove in 20 runs and scored 12 times.
