| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 11th, 1988: Williams Sticks it to SL1 Pitchers
Eddie Williams is respected by most Palmdale Satellites fans for his no-frills style of play. The 23-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Sub League 1 Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .429 average (12-28) with 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
This year Williams is hitting at a .290 pace with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs. He has played in 91 games and scored 51 times. |
 | Monday, June 27th, 1988: SL1 Player of the Week Picked
It's been a while since Paul Hartzell broke into the big time, but last week he got a sense of how it is to feel young again. The Palmdale pitcher was voted Sub League 1 Player of the Week for his pitching performance over the past seven days.
The 34-year-old hurler racked up a 2-0 record, 5 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.59. He held the opposition to a .183 average, surrendered 11 hits and walked 3.
To this point in the season, Hartzell shows a 10-4 record, 17 starts, 119.1 innings, 30 strikeouts and a 3.85 ERA.

Satellites pitcher Paul Hartzell did his job today, blanking the Stockton Underdogs at Palmdale Grounds. He scattered 6 hits while striking out 4 in the 7-0 shutout.
This season Hartzell has fanned 29 in 111.1 innings and collected a 9-4 record with a 3.88 ERA.
