| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, June 22nd, 1988: Season May Be Over for Ice Hawks Unknown Joe Unknown will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Saint Paul center fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Unknown was injured while making a defensive play in the Ice Hawks-Loyalists clash at Field of the Ice Hawks recently. Doctors said he has a fractured ulna and would be out a minimum of 5 months.
|  | Monday, June 20th, 1988: Joe Unknown Injured, Out for Year Doctors in Saint Paul said Joe Unknown may not play anymore this year. The Ice Hawks center fielder received a dislocated shoulder during a game against the Air Force Academy Loyalists and will be out for at least 7 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
|  | Monday, May 23rd, 1988: Young Spins Shutout Against Saint Paul Curt Young of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque easily handled the Saint Paul Ice Hawks, stopping them on 4 hits and chucking a complete-game 11-0 shutout.
"He really did a job on us," said the Saint Paul manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."
Young said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."
He finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing.
This season Young has been credited with no saves.
