| Breaking News |  | Monday, September 25th, 1995: Stairs and Bullinger Brawl, League Suspends Them Nobody was hurt in a confrontation yesterday between the Indians Matt Stairs and the Mariners Jim Bullinger as both benches cleared during the fracas at Cleveland Stadium. It appeared that there were a few punches thrown before the players could be separated.
Today the league commissioner took action. The league decided to punish the guilty parties. Matt Stairs and Jim Bullinger will each have to sit out 10-game suspensions for their roles in this fight.
Thus far this season Stairs is hitting .263 with 14 home runs, 79 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 106 hits in 403 at-bats and has played in 120 games.
This year Bullinger has posted a 5-10 mark in 27 starts and has a 4.71 ERA. |  | Monday, September 18th, 1995: Barrage of Hits Gets Everett AL Award One of the league's most exciting young players, Carl Everett of the Cleveland Indians earned himself American League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.
For the week the 24-year-old center fielder had a lofty .519 average (14-27), collecting 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
This year Everett is hitting .313, produced 89 RBIs and 23 home runs, scored 97 times and gotten on base at a .360 rate. |  | Friday, September 15th, 1995: Delgado Clobbers 3 HR Against Indians Fans seated in the bleacher section at Kauffman Field were taking cover all day long as Carlos Delgado took aim, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power. Days like this are rare. After his amazing performance in Kansas City's 6-3 triumph over the Cleveland Indians, the first baseman's name will soon be added into the record books.
He told reporters at the postgame press conference, "I told myself not to press on the last one. I knew I couldn't force it... that it has to be a nice easy swing."
For the game he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, batted in 6 and scored 3 runs.
C. Delgado hit a three-run home run off N. Minchey in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off N. Minchey in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off B. Manuel in the 7th.
