| Breaking News | | Monday, June 1st, 1998: Sub League 1 Names #1 Pitcher in May
Bryan Eversgerd is at the zenith of his career and today he was selected as the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Month for May.
He made 13 relief appearances for Berlin last month, throwing 14.1 innings and collecting 10 saves, a 2-0 record, 13 strikeouts and a 1.88 ERA.
This season Eversgerd has been credited with 19 saves in 27 relief appearances. In 29.2 innings he has a 2-2 won-lost mark, 1.52 ERA and 24 strikeouts

| Friday, May 1st, 1998: SL1 Best Hitter Award to Berlin's Dave Rohde
Dave Rohde put together a good April to earn the Sub League 1 Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Berlin officials that he belongs on the big league roster.
The Termites second baseman posted a .341 batting average with 10 home runs, 24 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

| Monday, April 27th, 1998: Rohde Wins SL1 Player of the Week Prize
Veteran Dave Rohde had a great week at the plate for the Termites to capture the majority of votes for Player of the Week in the Sub League 1.
The 33-year-old Berlin second baseman built a .400 average on the strength of 8 hits in 20 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs.
This year Rohde has hit 10 home runs and posted a .351 batting average.
