At Dazzlers Ballpark Cesar Devarez was the King of Swing today in the 8-3 win over the Vikings. The Montrose catcher stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the Anchorage and delivered 5 hits.
It was a sensational game for him. He told the press, "Unbelievable feeling. It felt good. 5 for 5! It does wonders for your batting average, too."
C. Devarez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 9th.
In 1995 Devarez has put up a .345 batting average with 126 hits, 6 home runs and 37 RBIs.
