At Ballpark of Syracuse today Syracuse blitzed the Nisswa Marksmen 10-0 on a route-going gem by Joel Finch. He blanked them on a 3-hitter and had 2 strikeouts in the contest.

 | Sunday, April 17th, 1988: Joe Unknown Sidelined for Season
The season is ending on a bad note for Joe Unknown, starting pitcher for the Nisswa Marksmen. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Unknown was hurt against the Burlington Colossals while throwing a pitch. He suffered bone chips in his elbow and will be out for at least 7-8 months.
